Ah Tom Petty - you're such an awesome dude.
It was Elvis Presley who first set you on your way, all the way from Gainesville, Florida - a not very rock n roll town. And then the Beatles became your true inspiration. What it must have been like all those years later playing with your hero George Harrison in the Travelling Wilbury's. And in 1976 it all happened for you - conquering Britain then America with the awesomeness that is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. 60 Million albums later and you're still cool.

Lanky, sweaty hair, that bony nose and just so much swagger in your skinny jeans. No wonder college students loved you. You're the best.
